How to Reassign Work

You might need to reassign work. For example, if a worker is out sick you might want to reassign that work to another worker.

To reassign work:

  1. From the Building Operations Console, click More in the Filter at the top of the console.
  2. Click in the Craftsperson field and type in the name of the craftsperson who is out sick, and select the craftsperson from the list of names that match your typing.
  3. From the Status section, select the check boxes for the work statuses you want to reassign. For example, select Issued and in Process for work that has already been assigned.
  4. Click Filter to apply the filter and see only the selected craftsperson's work that is issued.

    The console shows the work that is currently issued to the selected craftsperson.

  5. Select the work requests you want to reassign, and click Update. If you select more than one work request having the same status, you can bulk update them and the buttons to do so appear at the top of the console just below the Filter. Otherwise, to reassign just one work request, select Update in the row for the request.

  6. Expand the Craftsperson section by clicking on its arrow.

    The Craftsperson section shows the current assignment.

  7. Remove the assignment to the craftsperson who is out sick by clicking the X next to the craftsperson. This removes the assignment.
  8. Click Add to add a new assignment.

    The Add Craftsperson form appears.

  9. Type in the new craftsperson's name in the Craftsperson Code field, and then select the craftsperson from the list of names that match your typing.
  10. Optionally, enter additional information, such as the Date /Time Started and Estimated Hours.
  11. Click Save in the Add Craftsperson form.
  12. Click Update Request in the update Work Request form.
