Refreshing the Display of Data
Use the Refresh command to refresh the display of data in the currently displayed grid. You invoke the Refresh command by selecting Grid/Refresh from the Ribbon.
Purpose: Use this command to update grids
and reports with changes made to data. You may wish to regenerate your
documents in the following situations:
- After creating new records,
you want to re-sort the records and display them in a logical order.
- You have edited a record,
which causes the program to clear the previously calculated values that
depend on this record; refreshing recalculates the values.
- You want to ensure that reports reflect the most recent changes made by other users on the
network.
- When you are simultaneously
running ARCHIBUS Smart Client and the ARCHIBUS Smart Client Extension for AutoCAD or the DWG Editor
and you want to
ensure that asset data presented in ARCHIBUS report and grid
windows reflects changes made by editing drawings.
The Refresh command refreshes the current grid or
report by requerying the underlying . If this is a drill-down grid, this command collapses the detail levels. The detail levels will be requeried when you expand them.
