Activating Projects

Projects can be either:

• active (Web Central will connect to them on startup)
• inactive (their entry remains in the Project Preferences file, but that Web Central will not connect to them).

This feature is convenient for users with many different projects or different configurations for the same project.

If you want to use a Sybase ASA Project or a Sybase SQL Server Express project, use the Project preferences form to set the Is Active? value to True.

You can have both SQL Server Express and one of the Sybase databases installed and running simultaneously. However, you can’t have both the Sybase ASA and Sybase Runtime running simultaneously, because they share the same sample .db file.

To activate a project:

1. Run the Setup/Projects command from the Ribbon.

   Note: Your deployment must be a full installation type to run the Projects command.

   The ARCHIBUS Projects dialog shows a list of projects.

2. Select the project in the list and click Edit.
3. On the Edit Project dialog, select Yes for the Active? attribute and Click OK.
4. After setting the Active? attribute to Yes, run the Server/Start command to create the database service and the service dependency between Jetty and the database service.
