Adding a polyline or block to a drawing that is based on certain parameters. When asset inserting, you can parametrically insert blocks and polylines if their standards store dimension information. For example, if a room standard specifies that a room should be 8 by 10 feet, asset inserting inserts a rectangular polyline and parametrically scales it according to these dimensions. Similarly, if a furniture standard stores width and depth information, asset inserting scales the standard's defined block according to the specified dimension information.
To make a parametric insertion, you execute the Asset/Insert Asset command and choose an existing standard (stored in a standards table) to insert. See also standards table, asset inserting.
