client (requestor)

In the ARCHIBUS Service Desk and On Demand Work applications, a client refers to a person who requests a workplace service from the available services offered by their organization. Examples of requested services are: copy jobs, furniture moves, and parking space assignments.

Many companies define workplace services in contracts with their internal customers according to various levels of support. Therefore, the requestor of a service can be considered to be a "client" of the operational businesses. Clients are typically employees of the organization.

Agreed -upon levels of support are translated into service level agreements (SLAs) which are managed by the service desk manager.

A client logs into the Service Desk and On Demand work applications and can access a form for entering a service request. They can check on the status of their request and, when it is completed, record their satisfaction with its execution.
