Adding Move Actions
An action defines work that an employee or craftsperson will have to
accomplish as part of a move. You can add actions for individual moves
and group move projects. You can add an action during the initial review
of the move request. You can also add actions when you are issuing a move,
as well as after a move has been issued.
You add actions by selecting the Actions tab on any Move Information
or Project Information form. These forms are available in the following
move coordinator tasks:
- Review and Estimate Moves
- Review and Estimate Group
Moves
- Issue Moves
- Issue Group Moves
- Complete Moves
- Complete Group Moves
To add an action:
- Select a move coordinator
task that provides access to a Move Information or Project Information
form. For example, select the Move Coordinator/Review and Estimate Moves
task.
- Select the move/project
that you want to add an action to.
The Project/Move Information form appears.
- Add changes to field
values as necessary and click the Save button.
Note: It is important to save your changes in the Project/Move
Information form before adding actions to the move.
- Click the Actions
tab, which is located at the bottom of the Move/Project Information
form, and click Add Action.
The Add an Action form opens in a new window.
- Choose the Action
Type from the select list.
- Enter a description
of the activity.
- Click Go to Next
Step.
- Enter the Primary
Trade Required using the select list.
- Use the Craftsperson
or Employee select list to fill in the Assigned To field.
- Add additional data
as necessary.
- Select the Generate
Work Request button if you want to generate a work request that is associated
with the action.
Enter a Problem Type value for the work request.
If you select this option, the work request for this action will be
generated when the move is issued.Note: The On Demand Work application enables you to use the work request feature.
- Click the Save button
to save the action you have added.
The action appears at the bottom of the Move form on the Action tab.
- Add additional actions
following the steps above.
- To edit an action
you have created, click the Edit icon next to the action in the actions
list.
- Enter your changes
and click the Save button to save your changes.
