Craftsperson Role

As a craftsperson, you will find that on demand and preventive maintenance work orders and work requests appear in your queue for you to execute.

Note that some work in your queue may be listed in a different color. This color indicates work that you are receiving because you are a substitute for the standard craftsperson assigned to this task. Handle this work per normal procedures. When you complete the task, the system will include the following message in any comments that you enter: "Step performed by substitute of <original responsible name>."

Update Labor Hours

Update Work Requests and Work Orders

Other than this change, the tasks of the "Craftsperson (Work Requests)" role mirror the tasks of the "Craftsperson" role. Depending on your site's practices, your Business Process Owner will make one of these roles available to craftspersons at your site.

Using the ARCHIBUS Maintenance Mobile App

However, some sites prefer to provide craftspersons with mobile devices and smart phones. In these cases, craftspersons can use the ARCHIBUS Maintenance mobile app to access the ARCHIBUS system from their smart phones and mobile devices.

With the Maintenance mobile app, craftspersons can use their mobile devices to:
