To add faceplate standards:
Faceplate Standard: Enter a unique name to identify the standard, such as MOD_1V1D to identify a faceplate standard that has one voice jack and one data jack.
Faceplate Std. Description -- Enter a description for this type of faceplate.
Faceplate Type -- Use this list box field to specify the type of faceplate that the standard defines. You can choose Floorbox, Wallbox, Wallplate, or Assembly.
Drawing Block -- Double-click this drawing name field to add a drawing block. It is important that you enter drawing block information if you are planning on asset inserting faceplates in CAD drawings.
Std Hierarchy Level -- Specify the telecom hierarchy level for the standard.
Image Document: Use this document field to hold files that show an image of your faceplate. To add a document file, you must first save the record. After you save, the Check In New Document button appears next to the Document field. Use this button to browse for the file. You can then view the document from the record by clicking the Show Document button next to the Document field. For more information, see Using the Document Management System.
Telecom Contained Tables: Specifies the type of devices faceplates of each standard should contain. Choose Jacks or Positions.
Number of Contained Positions: If you chose Positions for the above option, use this field to specify the maximum number of positions that faceplates of this standard can hold.
