Data and Voice Coordinator

As the data coordinator and/or voice coordinator, you are responsible for managing all move actions related to data and/or telecommunications.

You can edit all moves that have the status of Approved or Issued. You can add values for Voice and Data fields. You can also add move actions and edit actions that have already been created.

You can also examine all moves, regardless of their status. For example, you can examine moves that have the status of Created, Requested, Approved, Issued, Completed, or Closed. When you examine a move, you can only view its details, you cannot edit any data.

In many cases there may be many moves that are concurrently listed. To facilitate finding a particular move, you can use the restriction console to restrict the listed views to a subset of moves.

Editing Individual Moves

You can edit an individual move, which is the move of an individual employee, asset, or room.

To edit an individual move:

  1. In the Process Navigator, select the Data/Voice Coordinator/Edit Moves task.
  2. Use the restriction console to select a subset of moves.
  3. Select the move that you want to edit from the Approved and Issued Moves list.
    The Move Information form for the selected move appears.
  4. Enter additional data, including values for the Voice Jack and Data Jack fields.
  5. Click the Save button.
    Note
    : It is important to save your changes in the Move Information form before adding actions to the move.
  6. Add actions. See the Adding Move Actions topic for more information.
  7. Click the Save button to save your changes.

Editing Group Moves

You can edit a group move, which is a move of multiple employees, assets, or rooms.

To edit a group move:

  1. Select the Data/Voice Coordinator/Edit Group Moves task.
  2. Use the restriction console to select a subset of moves.
  3. Select the group move that you want to edit from the Approved and Issued Group Moves list.
    The Project Information form for the selected move appears.
  4. Add Comments information as necessary and click the Save button.
    Note
    : It is important to save your changes in the Project Information form before editing or adding actions.
  5. To edit a single Move item on the project list:
    Click the Edit icon that appears to the left of the Move item.
    The Move Information form for the selected item appears.
    Edit move data as necessary, including values for the Voice Jack and Data Jack fields.
    Click Save to save your changes.
  6. To edit a single Action item on the project list:

    Click the Edit icon that appears to the left of the Action item.
    The Edit Action form for the selected item appears.
    Edit the action information and click Save to save your changes.
  7. Add actions. See the Adding Move Actions topic for more information.
  8. Click Save to save your changes.

Editing Your Action Items

Some action items will be assigned to you. As the status of your action items change, you can edit the actions using the Edit Data/Voice Actions link in the Process Navigator. Use the Edit Data/Voice Actions form to enter values for the following fields: Action Status, Date Completed, Actual Hours, and Actual Costs.
