After a move has been approved by all approving managers or with the auto-approve function, the move is ready to be issued by the move coordinator.
The Issue form includes the same information that is entered on the Review and Estimate form. You should use the Issue form to add additional data values that have not been added yet. You should also use the Issue form to add any additional actions that have not yet been added for the move.
After you issue a move, the move requestor and department contact are sent an email notification that the move has been issued. In addition, any craftspersons or employees who have been assigned actions are sent email notifications. For individual moves, the move coordinator is sent an email notification. For group moves, the project manager is sent en email notification.
You can transfer move project data from your group move projects into XLS format, so that you can edit your data in Excel. You can then use data transfer to transfer in the edited data to update the move project.
The Data Transfer feature is available at various points in the move process. When requesting, editing, routing moves for approval, or issuing moves, use the Data Transfer button to invoke date transfer. The action affects the data on the active tab. For example, if you invoke Data Transfer from the Employee Moves tab, the data on the employee moves tab is exported; any data on the other tabs is not affected by the action. You can invoke data transfer from any of the move tabs (employee moves, new hires, employees leaving, equipment, assets, or rooms) in a group move. See Data Transfer Overview.
To issue a move request:
Note: Before issuing an Individual move, make sure to enter values for the Move Date, Move Coordinator, and Move To fields. Before issuing a Group move, make sure to enter values for the Project Manager and Scheduled Start Date fields. In addition, enter values for the Move Date and Move To fields for each move within the Group move project.
Note: In a group move project, after issuing a move, the Move Date for each move that does not have a Move Date entered is by default set to the Scheduled Start Date value that has been set for the project. You have the option to change this date by making an entry for a move in the Move Date field that is different than the move project's Scheduled Start Date field.
Optionally, to develop move scenarios for employee group moves, select the Create Move Scenarios tab. You can create multiple scenarios and then compare the results. After you select the scenario that best suits your needs, you can automatically update the room destinations with the assignments in the selected scenario. See Move Scenario Planner Overview.
Note: Before issuing a move, enter values for the Date To Perform and Assigned To fields for all of the move's actions. For more information on adding actions, see the Adding Move Actions topic.
