Move Management
Move Scenario Planner: Overview
The Move Scenario Planner tasks enables you to develop and evaluate alternative move scenarios using your floor plan drawings and an interactive graphical interface.
The Move Scenario Planner role has the following tasks:
- Review Group Moves: Review or edit group moves before creating scenarios for them. See Review and Estimate Group Moves.
- Develop Move Scenarios: This task presents a wizard that guides you through the steps of creating scenarios, placing employees in rooms, generating paginated reports, and updating the move project with the scenario assignments once you have selected the scenario you want to implement.
Note: The Move Scenario Planner task replaces the Move Management trial drawing commands in the Overlay for AutoCAD. The Develop Move Scenarios task simplifies the process of developing Move scenarios (trial room assignments) by using a wizard interface and Flash technology to create the drawings and make the assignments.
Develop Move Scenario Task Overview
The Develop Move Scenario task presents a wizard that guides you through the following steps:
- Select a group move project for the scenario.Move scenarios are based on the employees included in a group move project. To create a group move project, see Set Up Employee Group Moves.
- Create Move Scenarios : Select the move scenario to work on, or create a new one. You can also copy a scenario so that you can refine it to create another scenario. You can create multiple scenarios to compare these alternatives. See Create Move Scenarios Tab.
- Plan Move Scenarios tab: Using a graphical interface, you can place employees in rooms on a floor plan drawing and can unassign employees to change the assignment. If you are moving employees
to multiple floors, you can set up multiple drawings within a scenario. From this tab, you can also update the move scenario to ensure that it includes the latest data from the move project. See Plan Move Scenario Tab.
- Review Move Scenario tab: Review details for your move scenarios and print a paginated report to facilitate scenario review. Once a scenario is agreed upon, you can update the move project with the
room assignments in the selected move scenario. This will fill in the
Move To values for all the employees in your move. See Review Move Scenario Tab.
